Tuesday´s gaming night

Meret and me played Shadows of Brimstone: Advanced Mission 4 …City of the Ancients. She played the Lawman and the Saloon Girl, me the Indian Scout and the Outlaw. We already fled from the two adventures before, so we had some experience and equipment. We were doing fine, found a gate to Targa, even made it to the final battle. We probably would have survived that if not for the time. Even before the first fight round, a blizzard blew us right back to town 🙁

Here are some impressions:

  • This seems to be a great game. I missed the kickstarter event only arriving this year with Conan. And this one was one I was willing to back the mine cart with 300 euros and all the kickstarter bonuses… oh well. I sure miss a great came…

You could still get it! There are very few KS exclusives, so it´s still interesting if you haven´t backed it. It´s more expensive probably, but I think it´s still worth it!

haven’t checked in in two weeks, shame on me. i really enjoyed playing this and am looking forward to try again – i know at some point we’ll win an adventure 🙂

p.s.: i think we would’ve lost anyway, not just because of the time. still, fun times!

Would you recommend getting both core set, or would one do fine and then wait for other expansions?

I’d recommend both. The variety of items monsters, world’s and heroes adds a lot of replayability to the game. I think for the start, it might be great with one set, but maybe you should see the second one as the first expansion. ..
