Navajo Wars

I haven’t played this one yet, so I don’t know much about it. It’s a pure solitaire game.  The player controls the fate of the Navajo people from the 16th to the 19th century struggling for their land and survival. The game covers the conflicts with the Spanish, the Mexicans and the English.  The board is beautiful and the components are of great quality. The game is quite complex though, and I didn’t manage to get into it yet.

A play-through of Navajo Wars would be awesome!

It is in the top 5 of my solo games. But – as others have already commented – it is not very accessible. It is (relatively) easy to learn the rules but much harder to figure out what good moves are.

The design (how history is represented as game mechanics) is brilliant. The AI is very unique and entertaining.

I own Navajo Wars and its one of my very favorite games. It did take an effort to learn the rules and play the game correctly, but it was both entertaining educational. There is a tutorial video by Joel Toppen, the designer himself, that walks through the Playbook and really helps with learning the game.

I created a video of Navajo Wars myself (mostly inspired by your own great videos). I would be happy to share it with you. It may also help with learning this great game.
