Darkest Night

It was a horrible fight between the Necromancer and the Kingdom´s troops, going on for decades, and countless lives were lost. In the end, the Kingdom was overrun and darkness spread across the country. A few managed to escape into the monastry, the last place where light still exists. They are the last hope for the Kingdom.

In this full cooperative game, players take the role of four (always four!) characters trying to solve Mysteries wich will give them Clues where to find Holy Relics. These Relics are the key to defeat the Necromancer. While the heroes are on their task, the Necromancer will try to hunt them down, will spawn monsters and use dark magic to grow in power and eventually destroy the monastry wich will cause players lose the game.

Each of the characters has a special deck of Power cards, some of them allow a special action, others give a constant bonus. Characters start with only 4 Power cards. During the game they will first try to get additional Powers and to find Mysteries. They´ll also have to fight back the constantly spawning  forces of the Necromancer, because too many of them on a given loaction, will bring the monastry in danger.

This game is especially great for solo or two players. It offers tons of possibilities in a relatively short and simple game. So much too explore. 29 characters, wich play really different. It will take a long time until you´ve seen everything: there are four decks, from wich you will only see 1-3 cards per game…each deck with about 40 – 50 cards. The replayability is insane, and you can adjust the difficulty. Components and art are fantastic, the additional minis not so much, but still okay…
